English First Peoples (EFP) is a course that is mandatory (required) to be taken in BC (British Columbia) starting at Grade 10. It is an Indigenous-Focused Graduation Requirement, which needs four credits of an Indigenous-focused course for all BC high school students to graduate (or else you won’t be able to graduate). Students who take EFP will learn to analyze how First Peoples languages and texts will reflect on their cultures, their knowledge, history, and worldviews (views of the rest of the world)
